We recently had the pleasure of meeting Dutch photographer Marloes Verhoeven. Marloes recently completed 2 photo series. They are entitled ‘Lost in Prison’ , which documents life in a womens prison in El Salvador and ‘Adios Tatuajes’, which documents a clinic in San Salvador where young gang members can remove tattoos representative of their gang membership.
Since 2006, German photographer Mirko Martin has been working on his series L.A Crash, which comprises of 55 images to date. The images show situations which Martin sees as a fine line between staged scenes and real life, especially since they were taken in LA where the city has become a “hologram of the film industry”.
We recently got to see some of his works at the FOAM Talent Gallery here in Amsterdam.
