Kind Regards is proud to present the first  solo exhibition by John De Meijer.

Residing in Amsterdam where he works in his studio behind the Nieuwmarkt, De Meijer focuses on notions of balance.
Within his previous work he often referenced western heroism, comics and blockbuster movies.
In his new series of work, the clear borders and outlines within De Meijers recurring themes become blurred and take upon a different kind of narrative.

Please join us for a drink during the opening on November 19th from 17:00 till 22:00.

With Kind Regards

Kind Regards is proud to present the upcoming exhibition ‘THE SHOW BOX’.

‘THE SHOW BOX’ will showcase works by Merijn Hos, Gino & the Garlic myth and Brent Wadden.

With the kind support of the people at Wide View Studio, Kind Regards has put together an exhibition that goes beyond the drawn image.

Merijn Hos also known as Bfree is a Utrecht based artist and illustrator. Working both commissioned and autonomous, his style could be described as humorist, organic and sometimes dreamlike. Hos creates little worlds in their own with a childish playfulness, yet sharp eye for detail and precision.

Gino & the Garlic Myth is a collaboration between Gino Hoiting and Daniel Roozendaal. A hint of dark humour combined with raw and sometimes dry line characterizes the work of this duo. Working with both illustration and typography the two compliment each other and provide for a solid no nonsense outcome.

Brent Wadden’s work comes across as a mystifying, psychedelic journey through shapes and patterns. With a peculiar reference to folk and tribal art, repetitive forms and precise use of colour are key elements in his practice. His two-dimensional work naturally flow into three dimensional creating an atmosphere that goes beyond the paper and wall.

Join us for a drink at the opening of ‘THE SHOW BOX on the 22nd of September from 19h till 22h.After the opening the exhibition can be visited daily from 14h till 17h till the 26th of September.

Her parents insist they are not forcing her to paint and that the work should be judged on its artistic merits and not her age and said they hope her success paves the way for other talented children.

This is miss Andre at 23 months old…

While most of her paintings now retail for between around $5,000 and $10,000 it was a picture of the Russian Mir space station that set her record price of $24,000 in Hong Kong.

Sohrab Bayat, Ad de Jong, Manuel Klappe and Wouter Klein Velderman are the initiators of the exhibition BEELD HAL WERK. A massive show in an abandoned factory hall which exist of more than 60 monumental sculptures. all placed in one space, too close to each other.

We had a talk with Sohrab Bayat about this rather large initiative.

Sohrab Bayat:

We started one year ago with the question what do we, as sculptors/artists, want to see?
As you might know the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the museum for contemporary art, has been closed for years now. There are rarely big shows being held with works of contemporary (young) artists and we thought that the artists themselves should pick up the glove. We found a suitable space at the river ‘t IJ, less than 2 km away from Central Station and started to call all the artist we would like to see in one show. Everyone we called was very supportive towards our idea and they all said YES, lets do it!
A year later, on 3 September 2010, we are opening the most exiting exhibition Amsterdam/the Netherlands has seen since decades!

Pictoplasma released a book with a wide variation of drawings by Eric Shaw, Ian Stevenson and Dennis Tyfus among others.
